Gianna Albertin

Biography

Gianna Albertin I attended the “Scuola Libera del Nudo” (Free School of Nude Studies) at the Venice Academy. I continued my artistic training in Padua at Professor Corazzina’s studio, and in Conegliano with Maestro Valentino De Nardo, where I learned engraving techniques. In 1982, I graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Padua and pursued further psychotherapy training in Milan.

From the 1990s onwards, I continued a personal exploration of creative expression, which significantly evolved until I later discovered ceramics and the expressive possibilities of plastic and three-dimensional materials.

I attended the ceramic workshop in Scomigo (TV), then in Nove di Bassano at the studio of Cesare and Vania Sartori.

From there, I began collective experiences with the “Setteincreta” group, leading to several significant exhibitions, including “Fra-mmenti” and “In Evoluzione,” contemporary ceramic shows that offered a reflection on the socio-cultural context.

Subsequently, I had a solo exhibition at the Montebelluna library, “Le scatole invisibili” (The Invisible Boxes): from listening to matter. I sought to achieve a sort of material transformation of what is not material, bringing together my two souls: the creative one and that of a psychotherapist. This drew from an inner reservoir built throughout my professional experience.
