Words that illuminate
As part of the Parole che illuminano festival, free spaces for writing, reading and listening promoted by the Pro Loco of Vittorio Veneto, the final event hosted the Kaleidos reading group from Santa Lucia di Piave alongside Gianna Albertin’s Scarpe narranti (Storytelling Shoes): ceramic sculptures inspired by eleven novels, from Michela Murgia’s Accabadora to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Americanah. Each shoe tells a story, giving shape to themes such as identity, memory, the bond with the land and the courage to rediscover oneself.
